Sheila came to us from Sagonige Kennels located in South Dakota. Her registered name is Sagoniges Waunsila which is Lakota meaning compassion. From the very beginning it was noted that she was very special. There was not a shy bone in her body. Every person she encountered was greeted with a wonderful wagging butt and then she would immediately flop on her back begging for a tummy rub.
Though high spirited, she is an easy learner. When she is restricted (as in you can't get on the couch), she gives you a look that screams "you can't mean me." As long as you are consistent and remember yes means yes and no means no, she is an absolute treasure.
Her sire is Bluegrass Sagonige Gili, who has achieved multiple championships and who has produced champions. Sheila was shown last spring as a puppy and did very well. I expect to show her this spring as an adult.
We will be breeding her later this month for an early November delivery. The pups will be ready to go to their forever homes early January. The dad of this litter is once again Topper. We are so very pleased with the pups they produce. All of the families who have adopted pups report that not only did these puppies grow into beautiful dogs, they became treasured family members with wonderful happy dispositions. Her next litter will be her last litter. When you check out my video, "Adults at Play" on YouTube. Pay close attention to the pup named Crocket. He is a pup out of Sheila and Topper. He is a wonderful example of how beautiful their babies are. Should you wish further information, do not hesitate to contact me either by phone (713 412-0451) or email puppy@texastiaussies.com
Raksha is a blue merle toy Australian Shepherd who stands 13 inches at the whithers. It was known from the beginning that Raksha was going to be a good mom and so it is fitting that she was named after the Jungle Book's mother wolf.
She bonded immediately with our cat Pye and at times I think she thinks she is a cat. She would find the highest perch in the room as her point of observation often jumping up and down from huge distances never missing a step. She is very independent and therefore well suited for agility trials.
Perhaps her most endearing habit is where she rides in our cars. It didn't take her long to find the best seat in the vehicle. That would be in the front dash. She lies directly over the air vent. She can see out and within and probably most important she is seen before any of the other dogs and so gets the majority of the attention from passers-by.
We will be breeding her this fall. On the Puppy page you will find examples of previous puppies. She has produced only toys. I am currently accepting names on a waitlist for her next litter.

Moxie is Sheila's half sister. They share the same daddy. Moxie was born in October during a harvest moon. We named her Red Moon Rising with Four White Socks or Moon Socks, slurred = Moxie. The toes of her feet and her chest are white with deep mahogany red and bright copper points. She is considered a minimum white.
She is very affectionate and laid back, content to lie at my husband's feet while he surfs the net or watches football games. Though she has been the easiest to train in obedience, we have not been able to control her kisses.
Moxie delivered on August 9, 2009 eight beautiful pups. The dad is Cutter. Cutter is a Red Tri Toy male. This is their second litter. We have four girls and four boys. I posted on YouTube the first of many videos of this litter. They are all red tris. They will either be large toys or small to medium mini aussies. These two produce very calm laid back babies. This litter shows to be just like their parents.
These puppies will be ready to go to their forever home early October. Should you wish further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at (713) 412-0451 or email me at puppies@texastiaussies.com
